I'm an experienced creative workshop facilitator specialising in accessibility for beginners and marginalised groups. I run workshops for both adults and children in groups of up to 25 participants. I've run workshops at Winchester Poetry Festival, Bournemouth Writing Festival, Play on Words Festival and have been a regular facilitator for ArtfulScribe since 2024. I take fiction and non-fiction commissions. You can see examples of some previous commissioned work on my writing page, including a short film written for Welsh Women's Aid, a short story written for the Nightjar project by African Activities, and an article series for Mixed Race Mama. My non-fiction essay 'The Nightjar and the Magnolia' was published in the ESEA anthology Golden in 2026.

I affectionately refer to this as my 'book doula' service. I really enjoy supporting writers through their process of creation as an accountability partner, developmental sounding board, and writing coach. I've worked with writers on memoir, non-fiction (educational/self-help) and novels.

One of my first jobs was working as an Editorial Assistant for Palgrave Macmillan, and near the start of my copywriting career I studied proofreading and copyediting with ChapterHouse to help make me even sharper.
I work with full book-length manuscripts and shorter pieces (including fiction, non-fiction, commercial & technical copy).

I've been designing websites and leaflets for small businesses, charities and CICs for 15 years. I spent the early part of my career as a copywriter working very closely with designers, understanding the basic principles for clear communication through design as well as words.

I've designed, developed and led multiple arts and community projects both as a community artist and as a local activist and councillor. I'm an experienced project manager, creative and strategic at finding ways to make a budget stretch a long way, and at liaising and collaborating with multiple contractors and stakeholders. I believe in being an active leader and being the change I want to see, both in the world and in the arts industry.
DAY RATE | £250
My work throughout my career has included a lot of advocacy for diversity, equity and inclusion in both the private and public sectors. I've helped organisations redraft their Equality Policies, and co-designed strategic plans to improve inclusion and accessibility. I am an expert in ethnic diversity in the New Forest, as I was commissioned to write a research report on this topic by ArtfulScribe (see here) and I am happy to arrange consultation meetings or to give full talks/presentations on this topic.
